Hello!
My name’s Erma. This is my new blog. I used to write a blog in the late 1990s when they were called “weblogs.” Then I became a mommy blogger when I gave birth in 2010. My kid grew up and life dragged me by the hair, so I stopped blogging for the last decade-ish. While social media moved to the forefront in recent years, websites and blogs have transformed but they’ve technically been here all this time. So here I am again.
I don’t have a whole team of people to make my website look inviting and amazing, and again it’s just me behind this screen. And that’s okay!
I’ve often gone back and forth in my head about whether or not to start blogging again.
Do I have something worthy or important to say? Not really; not all of the time.
Is there anything I’d like to remember for the future? Sometimes.
Do I expect anyone to read my blog? Nope. I’m sure most of you have better things to do, so this might end up being me talking to myself. Sometimes it be like that, unfortunately. But i’m cool with that.
I thought it would be funny to name this blog Auntie because i’m in that era of my life. I mean I’m really only auntie to one niece, but in reality I like to look after all of the youngins as if they’re my nieces and nephews. It’s the mom and caretaker in me. If you need a snack, I got one in my bag.
I don’t have one specific topic to talk about here, so my posts might be a whole bunch of different things I felt like talking about that day. I do have a lot of hobbies, so I’ll definitely talk about them here. I like music (currently obsessed with k-pop), I sing, I love crafting, I am an adventurous foodie in and out of my kitchen, I like to volunteer my time to the community, I like to watch Korean shows (but I saw a couple C-dramas that were good, as well as Thai, and Japanese … okay I watch everything foreign that’s on Netflix), you can catch me watching Youtube while i’m sitting at my computer, my skincare routine is finally set at 40 years old, I love being of one of those older students at the community college, and I still love Hello Kitty as I approach my middle age.
